Sales Assistant

Position Summary:

The Sales Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Business Director, and ensuring the smooth flow of project inquiries into and through the sales process. This is a full-time office job in Cambridge, MA, that requires most of the work to be on the phone and computer.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer inquiries about S+H Construction (phone, email and in person)

  • Assess the majority of project inquiries into S+H, and route them to the correct person/response

  • Ensure potential customers receive a return call within 24 hours

  • Enter call notes in CRM database to capture all important information from client

  • Manage all leads in CRM system with Business Director

  • Sales reports

  • Position will be office based – minimal travel (< 5% of time)

  • Personable, mature, genuine and ethical – represent core S+H values

  • Strong technical skills with the ability to learn as required – Filemaker, MS Office, etc.

  • Strong communication skills – in person, over the phone, and in writing

  • Ability to manage tasks independently

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced organization

  • Basic knowledge and interest in residential construction and the construction industry

Success is:

  • All customers receiving a return call from S+H within 24 hours

  • Representing S+H well, as you will be the first customer contact for a majority of our clients

  • Assist business director in reaching our company sales goals
